I am a political organizer-turned-medical student who practices cabinet making mostly to stay sane, but also to fulfill some long dormant design and fabrication drive I didn't know I had.

By necessity my woodworking uses a combination of modern and traditional tooling. In most cases I'm using power tools to bring lumber to rough dimension, before grabbing hand planes, backsaws, and chisels to cut joinery. I find using hand tools for the intricate parts makes me feel more connected to the project. Also I can't fit a router table in my small apartment!

With my schedule, my ability to build waxes and wanes. As of May 2023, I'm taking a few commissions until medical school starts in July.
